Chicco Brand History
Chicco is an Italian children’s fashion brand that sells top-quality products in more than 100 countries. The brand was first founded in 1958 by Pietro Catelli after he found a gap in the market for quality early childhood products. Since then, Chicco has become a household name in Italy and beyond, earning a reputation for high-quality, stylish, and practical children’s wear garments and accessories.Catelli chose the brand name Chicco, which means "little one" in Italian, as a tribute to his son. Originally, Chicco released a line of medical devices for babies, such as bottles, pacifiers, and teething rings. This soon expanded into other products such as strollers, high chairs, and car seats.
The brand then grew and evolved with Italian society, and in the 60s, it diversified its range to offering an extensive range of clothing and footwear. After expanding and offering wholesale collections, the brand we know and love today is known as a leader in Italy and beyond for kid's clothing and accessories aged 0 – 36 months.
